English-born Nashville guitarist Richard Smith got his first big break at age 11 when he was invited on stage to perform and duo with the legendary Chet Atkins at Her Majesty's Theatre in London. Since then, he has played with many other legends, such as Tommy Emmanuel and Doyle Dykes, and performed thousands of solo concerts all over the U.S. and the world. Richard won the prestigious National Fingerstyle Guitar Champion award in 2001.
